Xueshen Qiu is a composer and percussionist from China, currently based in Los Angeles.

He received his master degree from Jacobs school of music in Indiana University, while also interned as a composer assistant with TV composer Richard Marvin (Known for U-571(2000), Six Feet Under(2001). within the last semester for two months.

As a composer, his musical journey is from a diverse experiences, he found his own way to convey emotion to audience. In 2023, he has been selected to “project involved” which is the most vital and impactful program of film independent with talented filmmakers from different backgrounds to create short films which already has been premiered at the cinema of Directors Guild in Los Angeles.

As a percussionist, he trained his skills since in primary school, studied percussion performance as undergraduate major in Soochow University in China, while he was the principal timpanist in Soochow University orchestra. In 2020-2022 after graduation he also worked as a percussion player in Shenzhen City Philharmonic Orchestra to gain experience in the music performing field.
